1. FOCUS AND SCOPE

NuCSJo: Nusantara Community Service Journal publishes peer-reviewed articles based on community service activities that contribute to the application of science, technology, and innovation in solving societal problems.

The journal focuses on various fields including but not limited to:
(1) Health promotion and public health interventions,
(2) Environmental health and sanitation,
(3) Community empowerment and social development,
(4) Education and community-based learning,
(5) Appropriate technology implementation for communities, and
(6) Socio-economic development and local potential strengthening.

The novelty of published articles lies in the integration of scientific approaches, evidence-based practices, and measurable impacts of community service activities. Articles must demonstrate clear methodology, community engagement, and sustainable outcomes.


 2. PEER REVIEW PROCESS

All manuscripts submitted to NuCSJo: Nusantara Community Service Journal  undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality of published articles.

The review process is conducted using a double-blind peer review system, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

The review process assesses the originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and contribution to community development.

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations: accepted, minor revision, major revision, or rejected.

The average review process takes approximately 2–4 weeks.


 3. PUBLICATION ETHICS

NuCSJo: Nusantara Community Service Journal adheres to publication ethics based on the standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authors must ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • The manuscript is free from plagiarism (checked using plagiarism detection tools).
  • Proper citation and referencing are applied.
  • Ethical clearance is obtained when the study involves human participants.

Editors are responsible for:

  • Ensuring a fair and unbiased review process.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
  • Making publication decisions based on academic merit.

Reviewers must:

  • Provide objective and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript.
  • Declare any conflict of interest.

Any form of unethical behavior, including plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate publication, will result in rejection or retraction of the article.
